Qāla an-Nabiyyu ﷺ: Mathalu alladhī yaqraʾu al-Qurʾāna wa huwa ḥāfiẓun lahu maʿa as-safarati [1] al-kirāmi[2] al-barrarah [3], wa mathalu alladhī yaqraʾu wa huwa yataʿāhaduhu wa huwa ʿalayhi shadīdun falahu ajrān.
The Prophet of Allah (ﷺ) said: “The similitude of the one who reads the Qur’aan and memorises it is that he is with the righteous honourable scribes. The similitude of the one who reads it and tries hard to memorise it even
though it is difficult for him, he will have two rewards”
[1] As-safarah: the angels
[2] Al-kirām: those honoured by Allah
[3] Al-barrarah: those who are obedient to Allah
(Sahih Al-Bukhari – Narrated by Aisha)
